YOUR WEEKLY EMPLOYEE NEWS UPDATE

WHAT TO KNOW

GEOFENCING WILL DISCONTINUE AFTER MARCH 1ST

We have heard some concerns from staff when switching from geofencing to time clocks that there will not be enough time to swipe in/out during the 7-minute grace period. Prior to covid, staff exclusively used the time clocks that are present in areas for swiping in and out and there was enough time for this to happen. The shift coming into work is done swiping out before the shift leaving work gets there. As always, if there is a concern we ask that you speak with your supervisor.

We are offering the option for employees to include their preferred pronoun on their new ID badges. All requests should be sent to [email protected] no later than March 3rd. This will also be the last day to confirm if you feel comfortable with your employees' current ID access levels.

Please note: This is optional, and no further action is required for anyone who does not want to include their preferred pronoun on their new ID badge.

ALSO FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

SEEKING IDEAS

Misericordia has the opportunity to work with a university's engineering program through a design thinking and communication class. These students are looking to solve a problem in our field that is impacting our population. If our problem(s) are chosen, we would work with students in sharing the impact on our population and what our desired solution might be. The problem can be individual, such as someone who is no longer able to dress without assistance due to changes in functioning or accessibility of equipment, services, or a program that is preventing participation or reducing independence. Again, it could be based on a problem for a single individual or a larger-scale problem that could help many of our residents. If you are interested in sharing a problem that you think these students could solve, please contact Geana Connelly at [email protected] by February 24th.
