Hello Pioneer Ridge Families!
Our staff is so excited for school to start on Monday for grades 1-5 and Wednesday for kindergarten!
As we begin the year there are several details that are important for you be aware of.
Please review the drop off/pick up map included below.
Students who want to eat breakfast at school can enter the building through the cafeteria doors at 8:10. They will remain in the cafeteria until 8:25.
Students not eating breakfast will enter through the south doors or the northwest doors at 8:25. Once inside, they will go to their classroom pods.
Students who arrive at school at 8:30 or later will need to come to the main doors for entry. The playground is closed before school.
If you are riding a bike or scooter, please walk it on campus.
Adults who come to our school must have identification to enter the building or to pick up a student.
During the first few days of school, our teachers will review the Standard Response Protocol with our students. These protocols are what we use to keep our students safe in the event of an emergency. Reviewing these protocols is meant to help students know that we have a plan to keep them safe and so that we have common language. We will hold fire drills and practice what to do in the event of a lockdown, tornado, and lockout over the course of the year.
As your family plans for the year, please refer to the calendar below to plan for scheduled breaks from school.

If your family’s plans for end of day pickup change, please call the office. Teachers do not have the ability to check email toward the end of the day.
Drop off and Pick Up
Please help us create a safe environment by modeling use of crosswalks.
For dropping off/picking up students, please drive through the loop in front of the school and pull into the zone marked with yellow paint and pull as far forward as you are able before stopping. This will be a zone in which leaving a vehicle will not be allowed.
If you need to leave your vehicle (to help your child out of the car, remove an item from the trunk, etc) please park in the visitor spaces. Students dropped off in the visitor spaces may proceed to the crosswalk between the visitor lot and the front of the school to safely cross the drop-off line.
The south lot is reserved for bus parking and staff parking only.
The safe, efficient drop off zone for the south entry is the front loop. From the south end of the loop, students can walk around the building to the entrance.
If you have not already, please complete the Technology Device Agreement linked below. Parents/Guardians must sign the agreement prior to students accessing a device.

The District Food Service is participating in the Healthy School Meals for All. This begins on August 14, 2023.
There are some things that are VERY different from the pandemic feeding programs from years past.
- We will still need families to fill out the free and reduced application.
- Academic Fees will not be waived if the free and reduced applications are not filled out and approved.
- At all levels, students will need to come to the cashier with their student ID to be entered into the system. This is how the District will be able to be paid for the meals that are taken.
- Each child will be able to receive 1 complimentary breakfast and 1 complimentary lunch. Snacks are not included in this program.
- Each of these meals will continue to meet the USDA standards. This includes fruit, vegetable, a main entree, and milk, in the age-appropriate serving size.
- Anything above and beyond those meals will need to be paid for out of the student’s account.
- This includes but is not limited too:
- Any second entrees
- Purchase of milk separate from a meal or a second milk
- Ala carte items
- A trip to the salad bar for children who bring home lunch
- If students do not have any money in their account, they will not be able to purchase any additional items. High schoolers will be able to pay for ala carte items with cash.

Dejar y Recoger
Ayúdenos a crear un entorno seguro modelando el uso de los cruces peatonales.
Para dejar/recoger a los estudiantes, conduzca por el circuito frente a la escuela y entre en la zona marcada con pintura amarilla y avance lo más que pueda antes de detenerse. Esta será una zona en la que no se permitirá dejar un vehículo.
Si necesita dejar su vehículo (para ayudar a su hijo a salir del automóvil, sacar un artículo de la cajuela, etc.), estacione en los espacios para visitantes. Los estudiantes que se dejan en los espacios para visitantes pueden pasar al cruce de peatones entre el estacionamiento para visitantes y el frente de la escuela para cruzar con seguridad la línea para dejar a los estudiantes.
El lote sur está reservado solo para estacionamiento de autobuses y personal.
La zona de descenso segura y eficiente para la entrada sur es el circuito frontal. Desde el extremo sur del circuito, los estudiantes pueden caminar alrededor del edificio hasta la entrada.
Si aún no lo ha hecho, complete el Acuerdo de dispositivo tecnológico vinculado a continuación. Los padres/tutores deben firmar el acuerdo antes de que los estudiantes accedan a un dispositivo.

El Servicio de Alimentos del Distrito está participando en Comidas Escolares Saludables para Todos. Esto comienza el 14 de agosto de 2023.
Hay algunas cosas que son MUY diferentes de los programas de alimentación pandémica de años pasados.
- Todavía necesitaremos que las familias completen la solicitud gratuita y reducida.
- Las tarifas académicas no se eximirán si las solicitudes gratuitas y reducidas no se completan y aprueban.
- En todos los niveles, los estudiantes deberán presentarse en el cajero con su identificación de estudiante para ingresar al sistema. Así es como se podrá pagar al Distrito por las comidas que se toman.
- Cada niño podrá recibir 1 desayuno de cortesía y 1 almuerzo de cortesía. Las meriendas no están incluidas en este programa.
- Cada una de estas comidas seguirá cumpliendo con los estándares del USDA. Esto incluye frutas, verduras, un plato principal y leche, en el tamaño de porción apropiado para la edad.
- Cualquier cosa por encima y más allá de esas comidas deberá pagarse de la cuenta del estudiante.
- Esto incluye pero no se limita también:
- Cualquier segunda entrada
- Compra de leche aparte de una comida o una segunda leche
- artículos a la carta
- Un viaje a la barra de ensaladas para niños que traen el almuerzo a casa
- Si los estudiantes no tienen dinero en su cuenta, no podrán comprar ningún artículo adicional. Los estudiantes de secundaria podrán pagar los artículos a la carta en efectivo.
