Food 4 Kids

Makes a (very short) Movie!

We hope you enjoy our story ...

told in just 2 minutes.

Why we do what we do ...

and

How we make it happen ...

11,500 Free Lunches

and

13,500 Free Snacks

Served to Children in July

All who prepare the meals ... and pack the meals ... and deliver the meals ... We all knew Food 4 Kids has been doing more this July than ever before. And we were right!

  • Serving 74 MORE LUNCHES a day, on average, than last July
  • Serving 117 MORE SNACKS a day, on average, than last July

From our numbers,

it's clear that hunger

has permeated the middle class.

The concept of hunger

is no longer synonymous

with poverty.

-Catherine D'Amato, President and CEO of The Greater Boston Food Bank

Unsung Heroes:

Our Recyclers

Big cardboard delivery boxes and smaller cardboard sleeves that once held multi-packs of fruit or juice; gallon plastic jugs and large metal cans that held a sandwich filling or sauce or fruit ... Where does it all go?

Dedicated volunteers load up their trucks and cars with piles of recyclables almost daily and take them to their local recycling center.
