DIGITAL CHECK-INS FOR CLASSES & LESSONS



Fall sessions will be starting soon. For a more streamlined check-in process we have transitioned from paper sign-in sheets to doing "digital check-ins" for all our classes and lessons.


Please remember when you arrive to give the receptionist your name (even if you already scanned your membership card) so that we can check you in for your class or lesson. Your cooperation is appreciated!


School Year Parking Information:


It becomes especially important this time of year to be sure you have your parking pass displayed while parked in the Beede Center parking lot. Please see the front desk attendant if you need a parking pass.


As a reminder, the on street parking spots are reserved for CCHS students. Please park in the Beede Center parking lot only.

Revised Therapy Pool Policy


Starting in September children will have unrestricted daily access to use the Therapy Pool and the previous time restrictions will no longer apply.

when the Mass General Blood Mobile will be at

the Beede Swim and Fitness Center

from 8:00 am — 1:30 pm

for the 21st Annual Nick Ressler Blood Drive


Teens (16+ with parental permission) are encouraged to become first time donors (must be 110 lbs.)

Kicks for Cancer


Kicks for Cancer brings together soccer players and fans at Concord-Carlisle High School to support local high school teams and to rally to advance ovarian cancer prevention. This year, the fields will once again be filled with men's and women's soccer games starting early in the day and stretching into the evening.


Please be aware that the lower portion of the Beede Center parking lot will be coned off and used as additional parking for the event. Members and guests are are asked to reserve this area for event parking only. Additionally the road between the high school and Beede will be “one-way” only, entering from Walden Street and exiting at Thoreau Street.

The Mighty Moose

5K Run/Walk for Ovarian Cancer

Sunday, September 25th starting at 7:45 am


The Mighty Moose Fun Run/Walk is held in memory of Jenna Swaim, a loving mother and wife who lost her courageous four-year battle to ovarian cancer on July 3, 2018. This event is part of the Kicks for Cancer weekend and along with the Concord Carlisle High School Soccer Team will raise crucial funding for this cause.


Parking and traffic patterns in and around the Beede Center will be affected watch for signs marking traffic directions for vehicles as well as any parking restrictions.

AQUATICS NEWS


Water Polo Now Available!


Calling all experienced Water Polo players 18+ to come join us for non-competitive pick up play this fall!


Fridays 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm


Players must know the basic rules, be able to tread water for 1 minute and swim 200 yards. Helmets will be provided.

Fall Water Fitness Classes

Most of our Fall Group Water Fitness classes still have limited availability.

The drop-in fee is $20 per class (class must have space available).


Classes include: Ai Chi, Aqua Cardio & Kickboxing, Arthritis,

Deep Water Workout & Shallow Water Workout.

FITNESS NEWS


New Pop-Up Classes: 

Slow Flow Yoga on the Beach! 

$15 per class

Come play in the sunshine on the beach at White Pond!

We will warm up with basic postures for the beginning yogis and add a few more invigorating postures for the more experienced practitioners. We will use a series of poses in sequence to create a lovely flow class.


All are welcome and can ramp up or modify as needed. Please bring a towel to place under your mat to protect it

from the sand. Blocks will be available.

The Beede Swim and Fitness Center and the Concord Free Public Library

happily announce the return of

BEEDE AND BOOKS!

This free program returns to the Beede Center on Monday, September 26th from 1:00pm-2:00pm.

Children arrive in their swimsuits for a collaboration of reading and swimming!

A librarian will read books starting at 1:00 pm then we transition to the Children’s Pool for water fun!

Membership to the Beede Center is not required.


Pre-registration is required under the child’s name

and begins on September 12th

Caregivers need to be in the water with their child

during the 30 minutes in the Children’s Pool

(one child per parent).

LIFEGUARDS WANTED

Interested in becoming a lifeguard? Concord Recreation will get you certified for free!  We are looking for various shifts year round or seasonal.
