Please join me in celebrating Mrs. Shannon Hawkes (Library/Media Specialist) and Mrs. Laura Macfarlane (School Counselor). Congratulations Shannon and Laura on this well deserved recognition. We appreciate you!

Important Reminders This Week:

  1. Happy “Official” Teacher Appreciation Week - We love our Daves Avenue teachers! Some classrooms are celebrating their teacher this week while others are celebrating the week of May 23rd. See below for more details.
  2. Open House will be live and in person tomorrow night, Thursday, May 5th, from 6:00-7:00 P.M. The intent of all LGUSD Open House events is for parents and students to visit their current classrooms. Our Cool Cats are excited to showcase and share about their learning this year. Just a reminder that tomorrow is a minimum day which means that we are following the early dismissal bell schedule.
  3. Cool Cat Spirit Days - Save the dates for May 16-20! It will be a blast!
Wishing you a PAWSitively awesome week!

Kindly,
Jenna Mittleman, Principal

For more than 30 years Grad Night has been planned and run by the parents of the senior class to ensure a safe, sober evening for their children after graduation. Hundreds of parents transform the school’s gyms and parking lots for the all night celebration. The theme is always kept under wraps until the last minute. The self guided tours are for adults and children 5th grade and younger. Middle school and high school students are invited to tour the Senior Museum but not the Grad Night areas. We look forward to hosting you!
