Free COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines 


American River College will be hosting a free COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinic (while supplies last) today Friday, March 3.

  • No insurance necessary
  • First, second, and booster doses available
  • Please bring your CDC vaccination card
  • Walk-ins encouraged, or make an appointment: English | Spanish

Vaccines are offered to students, faculty, staff, and the community through the Sacramento County Public Health Department.

Family Health Fair: Keeping our Community Safe

Saturday, March 11, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., ARC Student Center


This family health fair is free to attend for all with a primary focus on providing services to refugees/newcomers. Interpretation services will be provided in Arabic, Dari/Farsi, Pashto, and Urdu. Get more information about services offered at the health fair.

Produce Distributions


The Beaver Cares Basic Needs Center offers currently enrolled ARC students facing food insecurity free fruits and vegetables on certain Wednesdays throughout the semester. Students should sign up for produce distributions in advance.

UC Santa Cruz and UC Berkeley Field Trip


MESA is partnering with the Transfer Center to host tours to both UC Santa Cruz on March 24 and UC Berkeley on April 22. We will be visiting the UCSC MESA program and both UCSC and UCB’s Engineering Departments. MESA students will be prioritized for these FREE field trips, so sign up today!

What's your story? Would you like to share it? Storytellers Sherie Coelho and Lesley Gale will host a storytelling workshop in support of the Women's History Month theme: Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories. This supportive gathering will provide tools, instruction, and practice for creating a story that could be shared with others. Hosted by the CRC Women’s History Committee and CRC’s Center for Inclusion and Belonging.

Undocu-Leadership Virtual Conference March 11


Students are invited to join the Virtual Undocu-Leadership Student Strand at the 7th Annual Keeping the Dream Alive Conference on Saturday, March 11, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


Los Rios Community College Undocumented Dream Centers/ Programs, in partnership with California State University, Sacramento, are excited to offer this opportunity for undocumented and mixed-status college and high school students. Conference admission is free and will include workshops that provide students with the information, awareness, and tools needed to navigate higher education and explore alternate routes to success.

Creating a Successful Transition to Community College

The ARC Natomas Center, in collaboration with NUSD Parent University, hosts an information night for families to learn about the steps for creating a successful transition to community college. We will also go over information about Advanced Education and Dual Enrollment that students entering high school can benefit from. Pharmacy Day

Friday, March 24, 8:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., 9700 West Taron Drive, Elk Grove


Know students that may be interested in a Pharmaceutical career? Pharmacy Day at California Northstate University includes talks about Pharmacy and Health Care fields, student panels, hands-on activities, school information, and a tour of CNU's Elk Grove Campus. Students will get the opportunity to hear from students and faculty from CNU, and participate in simulation and compounding labs. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. This event is hosted by ARC's Natomas Center. 


Transportation can be provided for a limited amount of students.

The American River College Registered Nurse program had the opportunity to serve the community by representing the field of nursing at the Del Campo High School Annual Career Day in February.  


Nursing Professor Jen Kirkman, had the privilege of sharing information relating to educational and career path options and interacting with some of our community's most inspiring youth. We look forward to supporting those who seek this very exciting and rewarding educational journey into nursing.
