Michael Ansley, recently named the Executive Director of Keep Indian River Beautiful, Inc., is a Florida native and moved to Sebastian in 2018. He decided to continue his education at Indian River
State College and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services with a concentration
in Addictions Studies.

While attending IRSC, he became the president of the Human Services Club, completed the Emerging Leaders Program, and was inducted into and received an Executive Leadership Certificate from the National Society of Leadership and Success. Towards the end of his time at IRSC, he co-founded a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization called the Helping Hands Community of the Treasure Coast. This organization was awarded by the Florida College System Student Government Association (FCSSGA), the Bob Graham Distinguished Service Award for Community Support for the year 2020-2021, for the volunteer opportunities provided to the students at Indian River State College. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, he continued his education at Barry University and received a master’s degree in Social Work.

Michael is now an executive director for the Helping Hands Community of the Treasure Coast, as well as Keep Indian River Beautiful on a volunteer basis. My goal is to continue to serve, heal, and inspire others in my community and be a steward of the environment.
