See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

-1 John 3:1 -

The doctor gently told the young lady she would never escape from her prison of pain and weakness.

“Oh well!” The young lady quickly responded. “There is a lot of living to be found within your limitations if you don’t wear yourself out fighting them.”

The doctor was stunned. “Young lady,” the doctor replied, “I wish I could have you preach to about a hundred of my patients a year.”

The young lady was Helen Keller. Helen knew her limitations; she did not try to be who she was not. Read the story of Helen Keller and you will discover that her limitations did not stop her from living an incredible life!

Though most of us don't have the same limitations that Helen Keller had, we still try to go beyond our limitations and do God stuff. We want to be in control of our lives, our fate, and even our death. We try to control things outside our limitations and we sin. We refuse to accept our limitations as sinners. We sin and forget who we actually are- loved children of God!

The Apostle John cannot contain this wonderful news, that we are children of God… it’s actually who we are! Why are we children of God? Because of the “great love the Father has lavished on us.”

Knowing you are not God is a wonderful limitation. Knowing you are a child of God changes everything. You know you are saved by grace through faith and there are no limits to God’s love for you, the cross proved that. In love, God claims you as his very own child in baptism, redeems you, promises comfort today, and eternity with Him forever. Today, go out into the world and be who you are -a loved child of God.

See you Sunday, as we celebrate who we are in Jesus .

I can’t wait! Pastor Austin

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Getting to know the people of Grace Fellowship

Meet Rob, Gloria, & Cody Johnson

You will find Rob and Gloria serving faithfully on Sundays as ushers and helping with set-up before our services. They are known as the 'silver foxes' by a few of us at church. Haha

Their son, Cody, is ready to move out on his own and is in the process of finding his own place. Please be praying about this for their family as you lift them up in prayer this coming week and always.

How long have you lived in the valley?

We moved here 8 years ago from Fort Kent, Maine.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Mostly outside activities and exploring Colorado with our dog, but also one of us likes quilting, pickleball, and yoga. (Can you guess which one that is?)

Tell us something fun about yourselves that we might not already know.

Rob is employed by the Beaver Creek Metro District, Gloria works part-time at the Vail Valley Jet Center, and Cody works in the meat department at Costco.

The Chosen Watch Party/Bible Study

Need something new to binge? How much time do you spend watching TV or a series? What if you spent some of that time watching a show that brought you closer to God? What if watching TV actually made you want to read your Bible more? This has been the experience in our household. We would love for you to join us in a "watch party"/ bible study of season 1 of "The Chosen".

The Chosen is a television drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, portraying Jesus "through the eyes of those who met him." We will be watching one episode and doing a quick bible study time each time we meet. There is no homework and no prerequisite knowledge needed. Pastor Austin will be in attendance to answer questions. Invite a friend and come watch with us.

There will not be childcare available. However, older children who would like to participate are welcome to attend. If your child is younger than 12 years old please reach out to Tiffany first.

When: Wednesday nights- 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

Starting March 8th- for 8 weeks (8 episodes in Season 1)

Where: Tiffany & Jeremy's house in Eagle or Church (depending on #'s)

Contact info- Tiffany (970) 331-3759

LORD JESUS, HEAL OUR LAND, OUR BODIES, AND OUR HEARTS.

Please pray for. . .

  • the family and friends of Kellen Collins, a beloved teen in Eagle who died this past week. Lord Jesus, be near to the brokenhearted. Comfort them with your Word, loving people to surround them, and your peace. Remind us all that we are your children and we praise you for your loving grace.

  • our hearts and minds to be changed this Lenten season. Search our hearts, O God, and remind us that we are in need of your love and grace. "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:26

  • those needing inner peace, that they may know Jesus and feel His presence.

  • safe travels for all who are traveling for mid-winter break.

  • Carol Proffitt, who has been sick and is homebound, and her daughter Pam who is caring for her. Grant them peace and comfort.
