Dear Prayer Partners,

Sorry for the late night email but it was another full day. We had our normal activity centers and organized games along with swimming and fishing throughout the day.

But the highlight was Everyone's Birthday Party. We had a group come out to help us put on the greatest birthday party ever for these kids. We had bounce houses, popcorn, snow cones, a climbing wall and lots of fun music. The kids ended with a gift which was an MP3 player that includes the songs from the week and the drama they have been listening to. No doubt, these gifts were a huge hit with the kids.

Thanks for your prayers.

Here's a great story from our scribe:

It was “organized games” time and Armando just wasn’t into playing basketball, the activity for the morning. Instead, Coach Jourdan suggested he retrieve the balls

that were scattered around the gym floor. As Mando busied himself with the task, Coach turned her attention to the game. Moments later, she noticed that her helper was no longer keeping up with his job.

Jon, the photographer, had entered the building and Mando was intrigued with the camera the picture-taker held. Within moments, Jon was explaining how his

equipment worked. Mando was captivated, wanting to know more. Soon the small camper was actually allowed to hold the prized camera and snap a few pictures. What a thrilling moment when he realized, “This is something I’d love to do!” Jon had an admiring student for the rest of the morning as the two met up again at the fishing pond.

Who knows what Mando will do in the future with his new-found interest? At the very least, he’ll have a hobby he can enjoy the rest of his life. Perhaps we’ll even see him return as a photographer at RFKC.

Our awesome God continues to match the perfect mentors with each of our campers. We are so privileged to see this phenomenon occur regularly throughout the week. The beautiful cycle of blessings is never-ending.

Blessings,

Darren

p.s. Tomorrow, we will have group coming to camp to help us put on the Royal Tea Party for the girls and another group coming to help us put on Dude Royal for the boys. It's another big day of camp and we can't wait to tell you all about it.
