FVSD is excited to celebrate the promotion of Mr. Matt Ploski to Newland Principal. Mr. Ploski is currently the Assistant Principal at Masuda Middle School. However, his career in Fountain Valley School District began as a special education teacher in 2006. He taught at all three of our FVSD middle schools, was promoted to Assistant Principal at Fulton in 2014, and has been a Masuda Monarch since 2017. 

On Monday afternoon, more than 120 supportive community members and six major sponsors participated in the Marc Ecker Golf Tournament, hosted by our Fountain Valley Schools Foundation at Strawberry Farms Golf Course. The Foundation successfully raised more than $20,000 in support of our students, staff, and programs. This greatly successful event was surely a hole-in-one for our Foundation and the entire FVSD Family

Oka Elementary students, families, and staff celebrated Get Outdoors Week with a beach cleanup day hosted by the Surfrider Foundation. Their goal is to reduce litter, protect our ocean and raise awareness about litter and plastic pollution. Oka picked up almost 30 pounds of trash! Way to go Wolfpack!

At their regular meeting on May 11th, the Board of Trustees was honored to celebrate outstanding students from Fulton, Masuda, and Talbert Middle Schools. Congratulations to all of our student honorees. You are each truly remarkable!

Orchestra and band students across the FVSD will perform at the Monster Concert. Join us on Tuesday, May 16th, at 5:00 pm for Band and 7:00 pm for Orchestra as 3rd through 12th grade students come together for this annual event.

Fountain Valley School District invites fifth-grade students and their families to attend the Middle School Orientation on Wednesday, May 24th, from 5:30-6:30 pm at your assigned middle school. Please join us to meet your principal and staff and hear more about your middle school campus and programs. We are excited to welcome all of our fifth graders and their families as we look forward to a tremendous sixth-grade year!
