Class attendance is critical to a student’s academic success so they may develop spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. When calling in your student’s absence, you need to state the reason for their absence.
Excused absences are for the following reasons only:
- medical appointments with a note
- personal illness
- bereavement
- religious observance
- court appearance
-
prearranged absences for family activities, where at least one of the student's parents/guardians will be present
- school-sponsored trips
- administrative approved absences
When calling your student out, please make sure you are doing so for the reasons above. If the reason for the absence is not one of them, the absence will be considered unexcused. If you have questions please contact Mr. Geilenfeld.
