Need Books for Classes?

Check to see if you qualify for a book voucher, today! The Dolphin Assistance Program (DAP) book voucher is awarded to eligible students in Fall, Spring, and Summer terms based on program funding availability, student program eligibility, and financial aid eligibility. Students participating in the Book Voucher program agree to return their books to the Basic Needs Office after the semester. The books will be donated to the Coastline book borrowing program. Students must participate in one workshop and complete a follow-up survey. The Summer 2024 application is now open and awarding will start mid-May 2024. If you have any questions, please email studentequity@coastline.edu or visit the Textbook Assistance webpage for more information.

Coastline Dolphins in The Wild:

Pre-Med Club Members Volunteer at Share Our Selves Taco Night

On Thursday, May 16th, the Pre-Med Club volunteered in support of Share Our Selves’ (SOS) Wild & Crazy Taco Night event. All event proceeds contributed to Share Our Selves’ essential services, addressing medical and dental issues as well as food and housing insecurity, and promoting overall wellness for our low-income and homeless neighbors.

Sixteen (16) club members and officers came to support, helping set-up at the event, assisting vendors, checking in guests, staffing booths like the Share Our Selves booth and the silent auction booths, and helping with event clean up and teardown. Thank you, Pre-Med Club, for your efforts supporting our local community!

Interested in learning more about the Pre-Med Club? The Pre-Med Club aims to support Coastline College students pursuing a career in healthcare including - but not limited to - nursing, MD or DO, dentistry, veterinary, optometry, pharmacy, PA, occupational therapy. We can help navigate the application process and offer networking opportunities with healthcare professionals and other pre-med students. The club also facilitates volunteer opportunities that will help prepare for a healthcare career. Learn more at coastline.edu/pre-med-club!
