Winter is beginning to wane with some warm days and thawing earth, heralding the near arrival of Spring. Out of the cold, dark and wet qualities of winter, spring brings increasing sun and energy, and the impulse to get outside to witness the first green shoots pushing through the earth.
This transition from winter to spring is often laden with sluggishness and reluctance to leave the warm cocoon of home. Spring can be a wet and cold season that requires extra attention to stay well in the face of respiratory congestion, allergies, and lethargy. Weathering this transition requires diligence and focus to lighten up our diet, increase activity, and create a positive mental outlook.
Come join Mary to learn the roots of Ayurveda, yoga's sister system of self-healing, and ways to smoothly transition from Winter to Spring. This workshop includes a yoga practice suitable for all, self-care tips, and recipes for yummy dishes to nourish our bodies for Spring.
