Myers Recreation Coach Mentor Workshop
February 4th, 9:00 am- 12:00 pm
Together with Myers Recreation Center, we will be offering a free coach-mentor workshop. In this interactive session, we will explore a few ideas around how to build a dynamic connection between coach mentors and young people.
We'll also discuss the impact of trauma on the brain and body and participants will leave with an understanding of how we can help people heal through relationships and physical activity.

How Sports Can Heal Coach Workshop

Join the Center for Healing and Justice Through Sport and the Collaborative at St. Joseph's Athletic Recreation Center: 730 S. 43rd Street, Philadelphia PA 19104 for our How Sports Can Heal Coach Workshop. This session focuses on tangible strategies that coaches can use to help youth build resilience and heal, including creating environments that prioritize skill development, meaningful relationships, and team building. You'll walk away with a few ideas on how to make your space more engaging and inclusive for all participants.

Paint by Numbers- Using Your Financials to Find Your Story
February 22nd & March 1st
The next training in our nonprofit management series focuses on financials. Use these sessions to begin your exploration of the art of numbers. We set off with the basics of assets and liabilities, revenue and expense understanding each and how we use them to connect the dots. As the picture becomes more precise you will refine your understanding by analyzing actual financial statements, leaving you with a palette of colors (tools) with which to craft your organization's financial narrative, making the picture clearer to funders, decision-makers, and your clients.
