While it is a little cooler outside today, the action in the main ring is heating up! Dog classes start at 9AM.

Looking to feast your eyes on the best of the best in the Newfoundland world? Check out the judging for our Top 20/10 event in the main ring at 5:00. The secret panel of judges will include a Newfoundland breeder, a professional handler of Newfoundlands and an AKC judge approved for the breed. Each judge will utilize the score sheet created by the NCA to award the prestigious Judges Choice rosette at the Aurora Borealis Ball

The Aurora Borealis Ball, a symphony of majestic colors and the twinkle of lights set against the backdrop of the night-lit landmark of the Ariel Lift Bridge, will be held outdoors in Bayfront Festival Park under the Paulucci Pavilion accompanied by classical musicians playing contemporary musical selections. People are encouraged to dress in the colors of the Northern Lights, rich purples, and vivid greens with a dash of sparkle thrown in!

A reception with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres will start at 7:30 pm to be followed at dusk with the grand finale of the Top 20/10 Newfs taking a center stage under the spotlights. People will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite shining star which will be crowned the People’s Choice.

A few gentle reminders:

• Golf Cart parking at Pier B is on the Sport Court on the Front Side of the Hotel, please keep golf carts off the grass

• Please limit your time parking in the unload area by the grooming tent to no more than 30 minutes and be sure to lock your vehicles in the parking lots. Please do not leave golf carts in the load/unload area. Remember the Show Site is in a public park.

• DO NOT BATHE YOUR DOG IN THE HOTEL. This is a benchable offense, you will be brought up for a hearing and asked to leave the premises.

• Remember to make every effort to return the warm hospitality being extended by the staff at the Pier B - clean up after your dog, do not leave loose dogs unattended, please do not potty your dogs on the grass on the back patio near the fire pits, relief stations are located out the front door of the hotel.
