The Georgia Ports Authority recognizes that under current volumes, every opportunity to participate in Gate Services should be sanctioned and welcomed by our terminal customers.
With the above in mind, Interchange Services will be provided on Monday, January 17, 2022 under Tariff Rule 34-155 for ALL ocean carriers calling Garden City Terminal and Ocean Terminal. The GPA will offer services at the normal straight time rate.
The Martin Luther King Holiday will be a normal Terminal and Gate Operations day at both Garden City Terminal (Gates 3, 4 and 8) and Ocean Terminal (Gate 3). Normal gate hours, cut-offs for drop-offs and pickups for both standard/dry and refrigerated containers at both terminals apply.
Please note that all inbound and outbound gate transactions must have an associated PIN number. Standard / Dry containers (20’, 40’ and 45’) as well as Refrigerated containers (20’ and 40’):
Please note the staffing and lunch times for both the Garden City Terminal and Ocean Terminal Reefer Service Areas on the Martin Luther King Holiday below:
- The Reefer Service Areas (RSA) at Garden City Terminal and Ocean Terminal will be half-staffed until 0800
- The Reefer Service Areas (RSA) at Garden City Terminal and Ocean Terminal will be fully staffed after 0800
- Flex lunch hour at Garden City Terminal (half staffed from 1100 – 1200 and 1200 -1300) for refrigerated services
- One hour lunch break at Ocean Terminal (1200 – 1300) for refrigerated services.
