March 2022
District Drought Update

As we are nearing the end of the typical rainy season, and we do not expect normal rainfall during the month of March, the District is currently evaluating our expected water demands and water supply for the remainder of the 2022 calendar year. The District is committed to sustainable water practices, which includes planning for all types of weather years, from floods to droughts, and evaluating and planning for how to respond to all types of water supply scenarios. An official announcement and outlook for the remainder of the year will be determined later in March or April.

We will continue to be your source for updates and conservation assistance as we endure this drought together. Please continue to remain diligent in your water efficiency and eliminate water waste.
Spring is Here – Inspect Your Irrigation

As the days get longer, and we head into warmer months, it is the perfect time of year to check up on your outdoor irrigation.

Check for water leaks by running your irrigation and inspecting and adjusting sprinkler heads to make sure you are watering where you mean to! Fix broken sprinkler heads and check your timers. Our sandy soil doesn't need more than five minutes of watering at one time.

Get smart, and switch to a smart irrigation controller. Make sure it is EPA WaterSense labeled - find the list here. There are so many quick and easy things you can do to save money and water.
