Church Construction and Carpool - Updated Procedures and Maps

As you have seen in communications from the Parish and the school, the construction project for updates to the Church and the addition of a new covered walkway has begun. A section of the space that we previously used for carpool along the sidewalk of the main Church and Community Center parking lot is now fenced off. This construction project is expected to impact carpool in this area through December 2022.

Updated Carpool Procedures and Maps
To assist with a smooth carpool flow, we have updated the carpool procedures and maps, and our carpool page on the school website with this information. Please take a few minutes to review these updated carpool guidelines and maps before school begins next week.
  • As a reminder, the first day of school on Wednesday the 17th is classroom drop off and pickup (no carpool).
  • Morning and afternoon carpool will begin on Thursday, August 18th.

Traffic Assistance
With our new traffic flow for the main Church and Community Center parking lot, the school is working to have two officers available in the mornings and afternoons to help direct traffic for the first three weeks of school.

Let’s Be Careful Out There
While this construction project is taking place, the parish and school are asking all families for patience and understanding this first semester, as this important project helps improve our St. Cecilia Church and campus. Please be respectful and mindful of each other, the school staff assisting with carpool, and our neighbors that border the school on Denise Dr., Joan of Arc Dr., and Magdalene Dr. Also, please note that a letter is being sent to our neighbors this week regarding the changes in our carpool traffic flow.
New Carpool Numbers and Tags
All school families will receive a new carpool number and tag.
  • All of the new carpool tags are being handed out in homerooms today to the oldest / only student in each family.
  • It is important to use these new tags starting tomorrow, Thursday, August 18th.
  • Please display them on your rear-view mirror when you arrive for carpool in the afternoon.
  • You do not need to have them showing in the morning for drop-off.
  • As a reminder, there is no need to keep, re-use, or turn back into the school, your carpool tags from prior years.
Our mission at St Cecilia Catholic School is the ongoing Catholic formation and education of the whole child in mind, heart, and spirit, in preparation for an adult life of commitment and service.
