ACEC Florida is geared up and paying attention to the issues being debated in Tallahassee
What sets ACEC apart from other groups in the built environment is our primary mission to advocate on behalf of America’s engineering and design industry. We are the business voice of engineering, and as that voice, our job is to empower our member firms with unique tools and resources to protect and grow their businesses.

To that end, ACEC released two informational videos last month outlining the important legal issues around the “duty to defend” and “broad form indemnification,” which often come up in engineering contracts. If you aren’t familiar with the risks around these clauses, I encourage you to check out the videos here.

2021-2022 ACEC Annual Report: Seizing Opportunity
Looking back on one year ago, much has changed. The economy has reopened. The engineering and design industry experienced its best year ever in 2021 with over $380 billion in revenues.

We’re busier than ever and with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill in the rearview mirror, we’re only going to get busier as states act to spend this historic investment in the built environment.

Opportunities abound across all market segments where our member firms operate, and firm executives are bullish on the future. It is now ACEC’s job to position the engineering and design industry to seize the opportunities that surround it.
