The August days are moving along, but there is still time to bask in the sunshine of his love in the great outdoors.

Our Class of 2023 Ready to Take the Field as SRS Leaders

Here are our new 8th graders stopping for a picture on one of their last days in 7th grade. Wait! Take a closer look. If you know our Class of 2023, you might see a face that doesn't belong. It's not Waldo; but, which Middle Schooler can you find that popped into this picture, that isn't a member of the Class of 2023?

Back to School Information and Links

Dear St. Rose Families,

As we get closer to the 7 day countdown; this past weekend not only gave us a break from the dog days of August heat, but also a taste of fall, which can put us more in a school frame of mind; well, at least we can try to get there before the week of August 29th. We hope that you are having safe and fun adventures during this summer break and are looking forward to welcoming everyone back and growing our St. Rose family with all the new students and families who plan to join us in the upcoming school year.

Our teachers are busy getting their classrooms ready and you have or will be receiving welcome letters that will provide more details on those first days and how to prepare. In the meantime I have gathered here several notes on uniforms, supplies, summer work, and  am very excited to begin rolling out the registrations and information about our growing list of after school activities.

Regarding Summer Work and Supply Lists; these are available on our website. You can click on the button below to go directly to that page.

If your child has had a recent physical, please make sure that our school nurse has the most recent copy of their health records. In addition to state mandates for school physicals; all students who wish to participate in athletic-based after school programs and any school sports teams must have an up-to-date physical on file.

Please note that the first days of school (Monday, August 29 (grades 5-8) and Wednesday, August 31 (grades K-4) are early dismissal days. There is no lunch time on those days, but please provide water and a healthy, hearty snack for the morning. Our kiddos will be hungry while getting back into the groove of a daily schedule and all the excitement of reconnecting with friends and meeting new classmates.

There is no school on Tuesday, August 30th as teachers of the Diocese will be gathering with the Bishop for the Welcome Back Convocation.

For the full days on Thursday, September 1 & Friday, September 2; students should again bring  water and a snack for the morning; and also bring a lunch as there is no lunch service on those days.

We had that wonderful gift of Touchless Water Bottle stations from Monsignor and coordinated by the HSA last year. We encourage our students to bring refillable water bottles to use throughout the school day.

A schedule for the first few weeks is included at the end of this update.

As we continue our way back to the "way we were" we return to the full dress code for boys and girls. This means that boys will return to wearing ties when we go to winter uniforms in mid October.

There is also an addition to the options for skirts/skorts/chino pants for girls in grades 5-8. We have added a Navy Blue choice, along with the standard Khaki choice. This is not a required change, but rather an additional choice being given after discussions with our young ladies in those grades. This option is now available when you visit our online Land's End Catalog Pages.

Don't forget our UNIFORM EXCHANGE when looking for uniform pieces. All uniform pieces are free to our families. Click on the Button below to get the REQUEST FORM, fill it out and email to uniforms@srles.com.

Finally, we would like to provide more information on the CLEAR BACKPACKS for our Middle Schoolers. Please Click the Button Below to Read More about the backpacks.

With some updates and decorating, you'll return to some familiar sites and faces and some new; all brought together and ready to kick-off a new and adventurous learning journey for 2022-2023.

These last weeks can get hectic as we switch gears, if you are having difficulty locating something or just want to double check a time or date, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here and ready to go!

Wishing you joy and peace in the days ahead!

Beyond the Classroom

Enhancing Our Children's School Experience

The 2022-2023 School Year is about to begin and we are excited to bring together our returning students and new students, not only for their school day, but also to work together and have fun with the many offerings we have for school clubs, organizations, and after school activities. We continue to be grateful to Coach Dan and Team DIG, not only for the growing list of activities they offer, but for helping us find safe alternatives for programs during the pandemic and the restrictions we had to operate under during that time.

This week we are including information and registration for clubs where moderators and schedules have been set. In the upcoming weeks look for information and forms for Daisy Scouts, Chess, Model UN, Mock Trial, Student Council, and Newspaper/Yearbook Club.

We are also working on plans to bring back our Homework and Tutoring Program; and look forward to a regular season for our girls and boys Basketball Program and Cheerleading.

If you have an interest in bringing a new club or activity to grow our menu of enrichment programs, please contact me.

I look forward to welcoming back and working with our Student Ambassador Program, Student Council and National Junior Honor Society as our  key leadership teams. These offer many opportunities for service to the school, parish  and greater community. Like our buddy program, this is another way for our students to work together, across grade levels, to strengthen the bonds of friendship, provide a platform for mutual respect, and be strong role models in our school community.  Our children are blessed to be able to lead by example as they openly live and practice their faith each day ; and share their God given gifts and talents with everyone they meet.

What an exciting year awaits our children and all of us; we can't wait to begin!
