Anne Lamott says “Earth is forgiveness school. I believe that’s why they brought us here,
then left us without any owner’s manual.”
What is the role of forgiveness on a spiritual journey?

Children's Sunday Service 9:15 - 9:50 am

   In-Person/Zoom Sunday Service with
Rev. Russ on March 20th

We will begin our transition to hybrid services with an “experiment” starting on Sunday March 20th . Rev Russ will be in the pulpit for the first time since February 20, 2020.

This service will be a combination of limited in-person service with modified zoom. Those who are on zoom will be watching but with minimal participation. While we are transitioning to our new Sunday reality with many limits on what we can do, we hope to improve our hybrid services as time, volunteerism, funding, and technology make advances possible. It will take a village to make advances happen.
We are still mindful of Covid so participation will be limited to 40 participants so reservations are required. Masks will be required indoors, and vaccinations are required at this time for participants. Children are welcome; please provide information about children attending so that we can plan accordingly.

Please respond to the reservation form by Friday 3/18.

There will be a stewardship kick-off lunch after the service with a separate reservation requirement. Please see separate announcement below.

Keep Our Vision Growing

Honoring our roots and nurturing our interconnected future is the theme of this year’s campaign to care for the financial health of fellowship. The campaign runs from March 20– April 10. This is the single time of year when we ask members and friends to financially express what it means to be a part of our UU community.
Our campaign theme focuses on the interconnection of trees as a way to understand our individual commitment to the mutuality and reciprocity of being in our UU community and in the world. A number of recent scientific sources talk about trees as an “embodied network”, mutually benefiting from coordinated, underground, “infinite biological pathways, just like our human DNA.” The evidence suggest that one root can transmit carbon to another root, allowing trees to “talk” to one another using connected cooperation. By being in association with the UUFSCC we are choosing connected cooperation to thrive and transform the world.
The transformational work that we undertake as an interconnected body relies on the financial health of our fellowship. We invite you to generously support our 2022-2023 pledge goal of $183,000 and make your pledge by April 10.

To make your pledge on line click here , or complete and mail the pledge form that was included in the pledge packet mailed this week.

Don’t forget…join us this Sunday after service for a celebration luncheon! RSVP to stewardship@uufscc.org by Friday, March 18.
