A Successful Art Show at Northbrook Public Library
The TotalLink artists are at it again!
The Northbrook Arts Commission invites local artists to exhibit their work at the Northbrook Public Library. Artists from TotalLink were thrilled to accept the invitation to showcase pieces throughout January and February.
Each piece of art displayed demonstrates new skills and techniques taught in TotalLink’s ArtLab for EveryONE program. For example, the exhibit featured nine artist self-portraits that used a graphite transfer technique that artists learned during Totallink’s art program. The artists created detailed self-portraits that reflected who they are using this technique. They added abstract backgrounds of specific colors representing their feelings. The art show also highlighted several collaboration projects that allowed the artists to work together to produce some phenomenal work.
“I am so thrilled that our artists had the opportunity to showcase their amazing art in the community. We are thankful for all the planning and efforts of Jerry Block and the Northbrook Arts Commission. The exhibit was so thoughtfully created and truly brought the artists’ ideas to life,” said TotalLink’s Program Director, Madison McGinty.
