The Canada Summer Jobs program creates opportunities for everyone by pairing opportunity with talent, which is key to maintaining a strong economy.
Not-for-profit organizations, public sector employers, and private sector employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees can apply for funding now until January 12, 2023, to hire young Canadians next summer. Full-time job placements will become available starting in April 2023.

B.C. has become the first province in Canada, and one of a handful of jurisdictions in North America, to implement a permanent cap on fees charged by food-delivery companies. The Food Delivery Service Fee Act will now provide more cost certainty to restaurant and bar owners throughout the province.
B.C.’s cap limits the fees for core services that delivery companies can charge restaurants to no more than 20% of the dollar value of an order, echoing similar permanent caps enacted by Seattle and San Francisco.

Renaissance Academy of Learning and The Arts Conservatory is offering 15% off all Classes from December 26-31.
Renaissance Academy’s Enrichment Program includes Science, Technology/Coding, Engineering, Math, French, Mandarin, Reading/Writing and Cooking Classes.
The Arts Conservatory is also offering free trials for art and dance classes and a heavily discounted rate of $99 for four private music lessons.

Herbaland won the 2022 Seal Business Sustainability Award in the environmental initiative category because of its compostable packaging.
The Seal Awards honour companies that show "leadership, innovation and commitment to sustainable business practices."
Herbaland officially switched to compostable packing from plastic bottles this year. She explained that the new packaging was the business' way to "lessen their environmental footprint" by decreasing plastic waste.
