CTKD Selected for Avalanche Grant

In celebration of their 27th year, the Colorado Avalanche hockey team made grants to 27 local nonprofits, including Clothes To Kids! Pictured here, left to right, our co-founder Joyce Meyers and executive director Valerie Lunka were invited to the Avalanche vs. Anaheim game on January 26 to receive the $25,000 grant award.
The grant was made possible by generous Avalanche Faithful super-fans, who raised $565,000 as part of Watch Parties and Pom Sales during the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Special thanks to Deb Dowling and the team at Kroenke Sports Charities for this incredibly generous gift!

Highlights from the Holidays

Ramiro helped us load an impressive donation of three pallets of clothing from Walmart. Walmart has supported our mission in countless ways throughout the past year. Special thanks to Mike, Kathy and Val for coordinating such a big pick up!

Our wonderful friend Whitney from barre3 held another very successful clothing drive for us. She brought in some amazing items, all freshly cleaned and ready to wear!

This generous donor delivered a whole carload of new clothing donated by the Denver Botanic Gardens Guild Members at their December meeting. There were pants, coats, shirts, and shoes - all brand new. Thank you for helping our shoppers stay warm and stylish.

We have really enjoyed hosting multiple groups of volunteers from The Bank of Denver during 2022. Their team members are always so hard-working, friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to see them again this year!

We just picked up our first donation of the year from Nick, the manager of the Vans in Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Cheers to their entire team for continuing to support our organization with gently used shoes each month. Our shoppers love them!

Look at all this great stuff! Thank you to the very generous mystery donor who filled our bins with hundreds of brand new clothing items from Old Navy.

We absolutely loved hosting this stellar volunteer group from DoubleTree by Hilton. They not only brought some very nice donations they had collected and worked hard during their shift, but also baked cookies for our staff and volunteers. Yum!

We received two deliveries of beautiful, super warm coats collected by the Eddie Bauer store at Aspen Grove and the Wilderness Exchange in partnership with One Warm Coat. The 175 coats are already keeping our shoppers warm!
