The Lyft Garage - Mission Partner Celebrating 10 Years!

Mission Partner - The Lift Garage

In 2023 we were pleased to introduce The Lift Garage as a new Missions partner. St. Luke's members generously donated 13 car kits that included: a custom made heavy-duty zippered carrier, 10 gauge-12 foot jumper cable, flash light and batteries, emergency flashing light, tire gauge, water bottle and electrolyte packets.  Thank you so much!

Driven by Dignity...One Decade at a Time

The Lift Garage is celebrating 10 years of service providing reliable and safe transportation at a reduced cost to qualified low-income customers. To celebrate this milestone, The Lift Garage is hosting a Fundraising Breakfast on May 22 at Mount Zion Temple in St. Paul. If you are interested in attending, please contact Becca (becca@theliftgarage.org) at The Lift Garage. The event includes a continental breakfast, message from The Lift Garage's founder Cathy Heying, and an opportunity to engage more deeply with The Lift Garage.

If you are interested in touring or volunteering to help with tours of The Lift Garage, they will be participating in Doors Open Minneapolis on Saturday, May 18 from 10:00am until 5:00pmDoors Open Minneapolis provides a free behind-the-scenes look at dozens of exciting venues. Volunteers will welcome guests, count attendees, offer tours, provide kid activities, and answer questions. A FAQ guide will be provided to help answer questions. Volunteers can work in

1-2 hour blocks of time; you don't have to volunteer for the entire day. They currently are in need of 21 volunteers. Sign up to volunteer at https://app.initlive.com/web-admin/app/#/join-party?k=aouflpikrttzh9

You can read more about The Lift Garage and its impact on the community in their March E-Newsletter, click HERE.

Next Century Directory

It's the start of a new century here at St. Luke's! Last year, 2023, was a wonderful year as we celebrated our 100th anniversary. We connected with past friends and made new ones. To help us stay connected with each other, we are creating a new directory. This is an “opt in” directory. Your contact information will be included if we have taken or received your photo or you give us permission to include your information.

It's not too late to get your picture in Google Doc directory. Send your picture to

office@stlukesbloomington.org.

Please let us know if you have moved, disconnected a home phone, changed phone numbers recently or any other changes.

Do you want your information in the directory without a photo? If so, please email us permission to include your contact information.

The directory will be an online directory and you will receive information to access when it is ready. We will be able to keep this updated to help us stay connected with our St. Luke’s friends.

St. Luke's Social Media

St. Luke's has a Social Media team that updates our social media accounts and shares upcoming events and pictures of past events. Do you take pictures of events at St. Luke's? If so, the team would love to use them and the office would love to save them for future use (maybe the 125th reunion!). Please send pictures to SocialMedia@stlukesbloomington.org.
