Complete The NYC School Survey by March 31st!

Families are reminded that the window complete the NYC School Survey closes on Friday, March 31st. Completing this survey provides you with an opportunity to share valuable feedback about your experiences as a parent/guardian of our school community. The administrative team considers the responses of our students, parents/guardians, and teachers greatly when developing plans for the following school year.

Paper ballots were sent home with students a few weeks ago. Parents/guardians can complete the paper survey and have it handed in to your child's homeroom teacher. Surveys may also be completed online by visiting NYCSchoolSurvey.org. To access the survey, please enter a lower case "f" followed by your child's OSIS number.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey. Your feedback is an invaluable resource and an important source of data to utilize when planning for our students and families experiences at our school.

One Week Remaining for Reduced Ticket Prices to Spring Fundraiser!!!

After a three year hiatus due to COVID restrictions, I am so excited that our PTA will be hosting our IN PERSON Spring Fundraiser! The fundraiser is a way to contribute to our PTA while connecting with other families and staff members. It is always a fun event and a great way to support the school!

The Auction Fiesta Fundraiser will take place on Friday, May 5th here at the school. For the remainder of the week, tickets to the event will be $50. After this week, the price will be increased to $75. Get your tickets early to get the reduced ticket price! Food and drinks are included with your ticket.

To purchase tickets to the event, please click here. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation to the PTA fund or donate an item to be included in the auction, you may do so at this link as well.

I very much look forward to seeing many of you on May 5th!

Report Card Distribution on Wednesday, March 22nd

Marking period two report cards will be distributed at the end of the school day this Wednesday, March 22nd. Please be sure to check with your child on Wednesday after school to ensure you receive it.

As per the grading policy, families have one week from the distribution of report cards to challenge a grade. Families wishing to do so must submit their appeal in writing to the teacher of the class for which the grade is being challenged, and copy the principal and grade level supervisor. Documentation and evidence regarding your reason for your appeal should be provided as well. If an appeal is denied by the teacher, families can then request for the principal to review the grade and issue a final determination. All evidence and documentation regarding your appeal should be provided.

In addition to receiving your child's report card, you will also be provided with a copy of your child's results on the mid year I-Ready screener. The results from this screener do not factor in to your child's class or report card grades, but they do provide another source of information to assess student progress.

I congratulate our students on a successful second marking period and look forward to a strong finish to the school year.
