Dear Residents -

Saturday, January 1, 2022, will be the official start to my second term as your Town Supervisor and, on January 4, 2022, we will hold the annual Town Reorganization Meeting. Unfortunately, due to the number of COVID cases, there will be none of the customary celebratory fanfare, such as presentation of the colors by the Orangetown Police Honor Guard, blessings or singing at the meeting. However, our newest Councilman, Brian Donohue, as well as the other elected officials will still be sworn in and I will give my annual State of the Town remarks.

While the Reorganization Meeting is an official meeting and therefore must be open to the public, the Town Board is urging residents who would like to view the meeting do so via Facebook Live or the local television channel (78 for Cablevision and 30 for FIOS). It will also be available on YouTube the next day and the link can be found on the Town's YouTube page If you do choose to attend, be advised that there will be no public comment and everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. So, unless you are family or a close friend of someone being sworn in, please feel free to watch it from the comfort and safety of your home.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy 2022!

Respectfully,
Teresa M. Kenny

Are you getting mail from third-party energy providers?
Not sure what to do?

If you are receiving mail from a third party energy provider AND it does not have the Town's address on it, as well as the Town logo, then it is not from the town. The Town would never send out communication without including our address and town logo.

If you are unsure, please feel free to contact Allison in Supervisor Kenny's office. Allison can be reached at (845) 359-5100 x 2293 or please feel free to email her.
