Weekend Worship - Sixth Commandment

Scripture Readings: Jeremiah 17:5-14, Matthew 6:19-21

Commandments reflect the qualities of God, and the 7th Commandment is no different. Stealing is the abuse of trust. It is not only physically robbing another’s possessions, but it is also taking advantage of other people. Though written over 475 years ago, Luther’s comments on the 7th Commandment are amazingly relevant and timely! Our call now is the same as it was then: to be trustworthy and show that God is trustworthy too.

Our final Faith Haven Worship Service for this summer is August 27 at 6:00 pm. Save the date, bring a lawn chair, enjoy the beauty of God’s Creations, and worship Him as Creator.

Faith Haven Guided Walk

St. John's Women's Ministry is having a guided nature walk at Faith Haven prior to the outdoor service on August 27. We will learn about some of the scripture markers and plant names. We will meet by the chapel area at 5 pm and will finish in time for worship at 6 pm. Families are welcome.
