Beyond Medicine: The Science of Resilience

When treating patients who have had their lives upended by stroke, there are limits to what medicine can do, says U of U Health neurologist and Clinical & Translational Science Institute co-director Jennifer Majersik, MD.



With College of Health behavioral psychologist Alexandra Terrill, PhD, these two scientists are combining their expertise to develop one-of-a-kind interventions that promote resilience and are changing lives for stroke patients, and their loved ones, for the better.

Educational Leadership Award

This month, Dr. Stephanie Lyden has been given an educational leadership award by the vice chairs of education of the University of Utah School of Medicine.

The teaching and education of the future generation of neurologists is integral to the Department of Neurology's mission, and we're so proud that Dr. Lyden has achieved excellence in this so early in her career.
