You don't have to be rich to be generous. You have to be generous to be generous.
-Johnny Hunt
In this, the month of LOVE, I think it's crucial to remember that just as important as romantic love (REMEMBER: Monday is Valentine's Day!) is our love for one another, for strangers, for mankind. And what better way to show this love than by being generous with our time, with our money, with our talents.
This incredible mindset of generosity was on full display last week as the snow finished falling and many of our community members were stuck inside. Our very own Marionville Comet Football team shared their love for our community by being generous with their physical ability. In the course of just 3 hours, 8 players, coaches & dads cleared 10-12 driveways! While they didn't make it to everyone who needed help---the fact that they were willing to shovel even ONE driveway should not go unnoticed.
Right now this world can be a hard place to be, but those random acts of kindness, of love, & of generosity can remind us that there is still SO much good in this world. We can all play a small part if we look outside ourselves, and look at the needs of those around us. Find a way to be generous today, it will do your body a world of good.
