Celebrate Valentine's Day at Houmas House

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, if you are interested in dining at Houmas House on this special day, we are offering a of different couple of different options.

The Carriage house will offer a prix fixe four course menu from 4 - 8 pm, Friday through Tuesday. Call 225-473-9380 for reservations.

2023 Super Bowl Party

Spend your Super Bowl evening with us! Dixie Café will be hosting a Super Bowl Watch Party! There will be tailgating food and cocktails, and a 10 foot screen to watch the game.

Food and Bar Service will start at 4:00 pm and kick off will be at 5:30 pm.

Dancing in Dixie

This month Dancing in Dixie will bring you an amazing assortment of different bands. We will be hosting the Eddie Smith Band, Kenny Cornett, Route 61 and Tet Dur. * $5 Cover Charge.

There will be food and drink service from 5 pm - 8 pm.

The band will play from 7 pm - 9:30 pm. So put on your dancing shoes and come dance the night away with us!

Touring Houmas House

We offer a couple different tours that you can take right here on the property!

When you take the guided tour of Houmas House you will be brought back in time having a chance to learn about the stories of the owners and their lifestyles, their collection of decorative arts and art work, and the Architecture of the Magnificent Plantation. Our guided house tours are daily from 9:30 AM through 7 PM.

Our 30,000 Square foot museum tells the stories about Life on the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Our Enslaved Exhibit tells the story of Slavery from its origins to freedom in the South. Wax figures in period clothing portray life in the 18th and 19th Centuries. This "Not to be Missed" Museum is both educational and entertaining. Our Great River Road Museum is a self guided tour that is open daily from 8 AM until 4 PM

Our 38 acres of lush gardens await you. Explore beautifully landscaped rooms in our gardens with statuary, fountains and whimsical art objects. Visit our centuries old live Oak Alley and enjoy the swans, peacocks, ducks and other wildlife. Grab a cocktail at either our Dixie Cafe or the turtle bar and stroll our historic gardens.
