Winter 2022

Port Moody Power and Sail Squadron

Expired Flare Disposal

On Saturday April 30 2022, Port Moody Power and Sail Squadron will be accepting expired marine flares for disposal. Tables will be set up in front of Inlet Marine and flares will be accepted between 10am and 12 noon. Our partner in the event, Inlet Marine, will have new flares available for purchase on the day.

Flares will be accepted from recreational boaters and not clubs, municipalities or organizations and commercial flares (such as Day and Night or Line Thrower) will not be accepted. Covid protocols at time of the event will be observed.

Recreational Vessel Courtesy Checks (RVCC)

It is intended that Port Moody Power and Sail Squadron will also have inspectors available on Saturday April 30, 2022 to conduct Recreational Vessel Courtesy Checks (RVCC). An inspection provides verification that a vessel is carrying the mandated safety equipment, compliant vessels will be provided with a sticker to be displayed on board.

This event has been canceled for the past two years due to covid restrictions, it is hoped that it will proceed this year. Any questions, contact: [email protected]

Shelter Gutters

Our crews are continuing to replace shelter gutters. New gutter fabric has been acquired and custom fit to the shelters. These are put up each spring to help protect vessels and removed each winter in case of snow build up.

Dinghy Racks

We will be replacing the decking on our dinghy racks this year. Our crews will handle the removal and return of all dinghies during the process.

New This Year!

We are pleased to announce that the credit/debit pinpads at the fuel dock and marina office now accept the "tap" feature!
