They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

-John 4:42 -

What she said was unbelievable!

Everyone knew about her and who she had been with.  That’s why she went to the well at midday; nobody did that it was too hot.  But this woman of Samaria was hiding in the heat of the day from the cold stares in the crowd.

When she arrived, a stranger was there resting and he knew everything about her. EVERYTHING.  Yet, this man did not shun her, instead, he told her something incredible that would change her life forever.  In conversation, the Samaritan woman knew this man, Jesus, was different.  She asked why he would even speak to her (Jews would not speak to a Samaritan woman), and she also asked if he was a prophet since he knew so much about her.

The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”

She no longer had any reason to hide, she had met the Messiah, Jesus.  This woman, just moments earlier had avoided others, now runs to them in town and tells them what happened and who she met.  Jesus came to her, and now the others came to Jesus and heard from him themselves.  Guess what happened?

They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

You do not have to hide from your sins any longer either.  Jesus comes to you in His Word and Holy Communion.  He promises something remarkable, eternal life for all who believe.  Don’t believe me?  Hear from Jesus himself...“I, the one speaking to you-I am he.”  Jesus is not just a great teacher or a really nice guy, Jesus is indeed the Messiah - he said so!

See you Sunday as we continue our series Jesus. "Meeting the Messiah.”

I can’t wait!  Pastor Austin

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Getting to know the people of Grace Fellowship

Meet Jan Miller

Jan has been a faithful member of Grace Fellowship for many years now. You can hear her great laughter from across the room! She's always one to join in the happenings and events of church like Women's Gatherings, helping with Vacation Bible School, having fun at Kids' Night Out, and much more. Say hello if you haven't met her yet!

How long have you lived in the valley?

I have lived in the Eagle, CO off and on since 1996, which looks to be about 12 years or so if you were to add all the years together. My parents moved my brother and I here when I was a freshman in high school after living in many places that my dad's job took us. After graduating from Eagle Valley High School, I went to college in Fremont, NE outside of Omaha. After graduating from college, I spent some time back in Eagle before moving to Des Moines, IA. Now, I am back in Eagle after living in Peru for a year.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like reading historical fiction, spending time with friends and family near and far, serving in the community, singing in group ensembles, seeing musical theatre, and more recently road biking.

Tell us something fun about yourself that we might not already know.

I can be found most days at the Eagle Library, not just because I love books, but because that is where I work. I biked 120 miles in 4 days in Minnesota last summer to support Multiple Sclerosis. My younger brother lives and works in outdoor ministry in Kerrville, TX. I plan to return to Peru in June for a week with Corazon de Esperanza.

Thank you, middle school & high school youth leaders who took our kids to Denver to see The Thorn!

They had a great time and it was a great way to

connect with one another learning about Jesus!

Mark your calendars, save the dates, and join us on this cosmic quest!

Kids and adults alike will have a blast shining Jesus' light into the world! Stellar VBS launches kids on an out-of-this-world experience that will build their faith to last light years to come!

The Chosen Watch Party/Bible Study

Need something new to binge? How much time do you spend watching TV or a series? What if you spent some of that time watching a show that brought you closer to God?
