Mask Mandate lifted for Indoor Businesses
Governor Kathy Hochul announced at a COVID briefing that New York State will lift the current mask mandate in place for indoor businesses effective February 10, 2022.
This does not apply for individuals in schools, childcare, health care facilities, prisons, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters and public transit. The Governor plans to reevaluate the masking requirement for schools on March 7th, after closely monitoring the effects of the February break on transmission rates.

Hidden Architectural Gems in the Bronx
“Like a broken string of pearls”
Check out this New York Times article on the grassroots efforts to save important #Bronx architectural gems. Architecture tells a story and the now abandoned train stations designed by Cass Gilbert are a piece of the Bronx's history and its story. Thanks to all advocates and leaders Rep. Ritchie Torres, Loving the Bronx and the Bronx River Alliance for speaking up for preservation, restoration and return to public use of these historical treasures! Two of the train stations considered to be historical landmarks, include the Westchester Ave station and Morris Park train station on Sackett and Paulding, right next to the Community Garden! Check out the article here.
