The NRS Development team has had a lot of fun exploring the old jail in Sterling on their recent visits to Colorado.
The building has been transformed into The Annex, a coworking community created in collaboration with Logan County Economic Development and other local groups.

Conference Recap: CLEANPOWER

Several members of the NRS team attended the annual American CleanPower Conference in San Antonio, TX, which was back during its regularly timeframe on May 16-18th. The first night, NRS hosted a grand event at Bar 1919, which is a nationally ranked speakeasy and whiskey bar - clearly a top spot in San Antonio! During the Monday night soiree, clients, industry leaders, utility representatives, and staff had time to enjoy an amazing spread of food/drink and socialize prior to official ACP activities kicking off on Tuesday.

As the premier trade show for utility scale renewables, NRS staff was booked solid throughout the two days to meet with industry leaders across the spectrum to gather information to support its 4GW pipeline of projects. Topics included equipment manufacturing timelines, supply chain constraints, new technologies, legislative initiatives, and economic conditions to better understand the near-term challenges that effect our wind, solar and storage projects.
For many, it was the first large, in-person conference since the beginning of the pandemic, so you could really feel the excitement and momentum for the renewables industry. Thanks to all who attended our event, and/or met with the NRS team - it was great to see so many of your smiling faces!

The Colorado Development Team continues to meet with our landowner partners on a weekly basis. We have started hosting Coffee and Doughnuts 9am-12pm every Wednesday morning at our Julesburg Office. Come stop by to chat with us, get updates on the project, ask us questions, or just say hi to us and your neighbors.

New Hire: Walter Page, Project Liaison | Walter (Walt) joins the NRS team as its Local Project Liaison. A 23-year veteran peace officer/criminal investigator, who then spent the last 15 years as a conductor for Class 1 railroad hauling coal, he was eager to make his move to the renewable energy sector. As an NRS project landowner himself and Northeastern Colorado native, he was attracted to NRS and their open and transparent dialogue with landowners and the public. He is excited to work with his neighbors to help bring renewable energy to his community and beyond. | |

Mauli Sand, our Permitting Specialist, graduated this month from the University of Minnesota with her bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management.
She has been working part-time for NRS since last November and we are exciting to have her on board full-time. We are so proud to have such talent on our team!
