RMC Joint Worship & Chili Cookoff
On Sunday, January 29th, we'll join together with RMC to worship and break bread at the Chili Cookoff! The Chili Cookoff will be in Shepherd's Hall at 11:30-1:00 (following the 10:15am worship service). All are welcome! There is no cost for the meal, and a donation container will be available.
If you are interested in helping with the Chili Cookoff or would like to bring chili to share, please click the link HERE to sign up! Folks bringing chili can bring their chili to Shepherd's Hall the morning of the Cookoff.
This fellowship time will also provide an opportunity to shower Children & Families Minister Andrew Phillips and wife Sarah with love, good wishes, and gift cards as they eagerly anticipate the arrival of their baby in February. Following the Cookoff event, Andrew will take some off for paternity leave.

Meredith College Bible Study Event
Meredith College invites you on Wednesday, February 8th, at 6:15pm for a reception (1st floor Cate Center lobby) followed by a 7:00pm lecture (Kresge Auditorium) titled "More than Just Mosaics: The Ancient Synagogue at Huqoq in Israel's Galilee", presented by archeologist Dr. Jodi Magness, which will detail excavations of a monumental, profusely-decorated, and unique Late Roman synagogue, as well as more recent discoveries. CGS Lenten Retreat
Drawing as Prayer: Using Colors, Shapes and Our Imaginations to Journey Through Lent—and Beyond will be held on Saturday, February 25th, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Good Shepherd. Lunch will be provided. Join Mike Newton-Ward to explore different ways that making art can be a spiritual practice to use during Lent, and throughout the year…using shapes, colors and Visio Divina—the practice of holy seeing—to engage our religious imaginations. St. Ambrose's Senior Ministry, "Silver Angels 60+ years young", has invited our parishioners and any friends you may have to join them on the 2nd Wednesday of each month for fellowship, lunch and often a speaker who talks about subjects of interest to seniors. EYC Super Bowl Party
On February 12th, the Gilberts, have graciously decided to continue their tradition of hosting the Super Bowl Party at their home, 300 Mystwood Hollow Cir., Holly Springs! All EYC (past, present, future), clergy, and their families are welcome. The game starts at 6:30, come early for fellowship and food (5:30). Sunday School Formation Hour for grades kindergarten through 5th grade this Sunday, January 29th at 9:00am. Grades K-3 will meet in Room 316 and grades 4-5 will meet in Room 329.

Organ Assistants For The Day
Children 3rd-6th grades are welcome to be an Organ Assistant for the Day! It's easy: your child gets to meet with Cliff at 10:00am before the service and learn which stops to pull and which to push in. Cliff will help them with stops and maybe playing a key or a pedal during the voluntary, the opening hymn, and the Gloria. They go with Andrew for Children's Chapel during the service, and return to help at the organ for the closing hymn and the postlude. No experience is necessary! Stops will be color-coded for ease of pulling! Music reading is not needed! Contact Cliff if you have a young one who is interested in being an Organ Assistant for the Day.

EYC Volunteers Needed
EYC is looking for leader volunteers! We are looking for individuals to to help create and maintain a community of love, welcome, and acceptance for our 6th-12th grade students. We meet regularly, on Sunday evenings at 5:30pm, and have trips and retreats during the year. If you are interested, please reach out to our Youth Minister Devin McGinnis.

Donate Altar Flowers
Each Sunday parishioners generously donate the beautiful floral arrangements on our altar to the glory of God and, typically, to honor loved ones and in thanksgiving for blessings. Altar Flowers are needed especially for the following dates: February 26, March 5, and March 19. The Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen
The Shepherd's Table Soup Kitchen serves a free, hot and nutritious meal to over 275 men, women and children each day. Operating from the basement level of our Parish Life Center on West Morgan St., Shepherd’s Table will feed 76,000 guests this year with the help of 5,000 volunteers. Annual Celebration of the Feast of Blessed Absalom Jones
The annual celebration of Blessed Absalom Jones, the first Black man ordained in the Episcopal Church, is taking place Saturday, February 11th at 10:00am at Saint Augustine's University. The service will feature the preaching of the Rev. Dr. Allen Robinson, rector of Grace Church in Brooklyn Heights and an alum of Saint Augustine’s University. A reception will follow.

The interactive workshop "Introduction to Dismantling Racism" designed to deepen our spiritual commitment to dismantle racism as participants in the Jesus movement. Through presentations, prayer, story sharing, videos, and small group discussion, we will explore how the sin of racism impacts all of our lives. Pilgrimage To International Civil Rights Museum
Join the Diocese on March 11th from 9:30am-1:00pm for a one-day pilgrimage to the International Civil Rights Museum in Greensboro, an iconic landmark in the history of the Civil Rights Movement. The pilgrimage is open to all ages, there will be materials and activities for all. The cost is expected to be between $10-20, and space is limited.
