BEMA Israel 2024 (Low-Contact)
Can it already be time to start talking about BEMA Israel 2024 (Low-Contact)? It is! We are just one year away from the next low-contact trip to Israel (affectionately known as BEMA LoCo). The trip is currently scheduled for March 23 – April 6 (subject to finalization). We’ll be celebrating the Resurrection “on-site”!

The “low-contact” version of our Israel trip is designed for those who will not be able to participate in our “full-contact” experience. Whether because of age or physical limitations, this trip has offers minimal hiking and lower temperatures, allowing some to get a taste of what we do in the fall. If you are physically able, this is not the trip that you want; you will want to pursue our full-contact experience later in the year.

In order to enable people to be fully prepared and informed about their decision and all the questions that arise, we made a special “low-contact” orientation for you to watch.
We expect registration to fill up quickly and move to a wait list, so be ready. Registration will be announced first right here on the Messenger, opening in May. If you’d like to see the “full-contact” orientation for comparison and decision-making, you can find that here.
What’s Happening Around the Globe?
Julie’s Story
This is Julie.

She lives in Sydney, Australia, and is a School Crossing Supervisor (but the kids know her as “The Lollipop Lady”). She started listening over a winter break and got through the first six episodes. When school resumed, she paused, but then the pandemic allowed her time to resume her study. She kept listening steadily and eventually caught up to real time. She now waits anxiously for each week’s discussion.

Despite being immersed in Bible study for over 30 years, Julie can’t count the amount of times she has learned something that blew her mind and allowed her to see Scripture in new ways. She doesn’t always agree with everything Marty and Brent say, but she feels empowered to keep what she needs and discard what she doesn’t.

After hearing Darius (Brent’s son) recite Genesis 1 at the end of an episode (205), she was inspired to start memorizing herself. She is just wrapping up the first 11 chapters of Genesis! She’s excited to move on to John’s gospel when this is complete. The podcast is such an inspiration to Julie’s walk with Jesus. Combined with these resources, her faith of almost 50 years is as vibrant as can be!
