Arizona college presidents speak out: "Yes, college is still a worthwhile investment."
As part of our Everything to Gain initiative, Education Forward Arizona drafted an open letter that was signed by 15 Arizona university and college presidents.
 
The letter shares a powerful cross-college message about the need to significantly increase the number of Arizona adults who pursue education after high schooland the benefits that individuals, communities, and the state economy will realize when they do.
New grads pave the way for Arizona's future
In May, Education Forward Arizona celebrated 86 new college graduates from our Success Services program and 59 graduating high school seniors in our College Knowing and Going (CKG) program.

These students and all of Arizona's Class of 2023 graduates truly have everything to gain, including higher lifetime earnings, better health, and more economic opportunities, by earning their degrees and certificates after high school!
College Knowing & Going Student Ambassador is heading to Columbia University
Rodrigo Guizar Jr., one of our outstanding College Knowing & Going Student Ambassadors from Cibola High School, graduated last week and was featured nationally in The Week magazine, and locally by 3TV and KAWC.
Rodrigo—a first-generation high school graduate and college student—
will head off to Columbia University this fall, where he plans to study civil engineering. He hopes to return to Arizona in the future to help tackle water issues facing our state!

Scholarship open to young adults impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
Through the Helios Adelante Scholars Initiative -- the Helios Education Foundation, Aliento and Education Forward Arizona are working to re-engage young adults in pursuing higher education who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adelante Scholars will be awarded an incentive scholarship of up to $6,000 and will be paired with a Success Adviser during their next year of college. Applications are due July 1, 2023!
