Chamber Connection
July 2022
Dear Chamber,
Is it really August next week? Summer is flying by! After a very busy May and June, we have taken July at the Chamber to regroup and prepare for the second half of the year.

Last week, the State legislature settled on the 2023 Fiscal Year Budget, which included strong allocations to continue supporting small businesses and their recovery from the pandemic.

As we set our sight on the months ahead, our Chamber has some aggressive goals:

  • Reach the next milestone in membership and corporate partnerships by end of year
  • Plan a one-day conference to be held early December
  • Open our physical office in Easthampton, Massachusetts
  • Formally launch our Research, Training, and Education division under the leadership of Dr. Jo Trigilio

We are also staying involved in Federal legislative work that aims to protect our LGBTQ+ community. We will share more on this front as things become clearer and will certainly call on your participation when the time is right.

Until then, please enjoy some downtime during these summer days! We are all in this together, so do not hesitate to reach out to our team if you have questions, need help with something, have an idea, or simply want to connect.

Finally, if you have any LGBTQ+ business owner collaborators or friends, please refer them to our Chamber! We want to serve as many businesses as possible!

Proudly,

Grace R. Moreno
Executive Director
SHAKESPEARE ON THE COMMON

Chamber members enjoyed VIP seating earlier this month at the incredible queer retelling of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing by Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. It was a picture perfect evening on Boston Common for networking and entertainment — thank you to everyone who joined us!

We highly recommend catching one of the remaining performances if you can! Details here.
