OUR PARISH MISSION

Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.

We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING

God's love.

There are three ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:

you can mail in your pledge, give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

Grateful: The Transformative Power of Giving Thanks

Sundays ~ 9:15 AM

Rm. 31 of Education Bldg. or by Zoom link here

Meeting ID: 878 4884 3240 Password: 510649

Every person longs for available and secure sources of food, shelter and necessities for life. In one's effort to make life secure, however, he or she may store up treasures for the self and ignore the plight of others. The discussion for the class this Sunday challenges us to examine and work toward "The Grateful Society" which assists every person in the quest for well-being. Might this be a way for Christians to participate in the Kingdom of God?

"Pouring into Our Parents" (POP)

Sundays ~ 9:30 AM ~ 2nd floor of the Christian Education Bldg.

Children & Family Ministries offers a parenting class on Sunday mornings and welcomes parents with newborn babies to high schoolers. This class, Pouring into Our Parents (POP), meets at 9:30 AM in the Library on the second floor of the Christian Education building. The class will begin with a series on what a gospel-centered parent looks like. Discussions and readings hit on family codes, discipline, trust, times of suffering, hope, and grace.

We extend the love of God (Outreach/Parishioner Support)

Bridging the Gap

MARCH MADNESS UPDATE

Last week the Beehives forged ahead of the Bicycles, leading 10 to 5. More players have joined the game, the proceeds of which support Episcopal Relief & Development. A donation of $80 will provide either a beehive or bicycle for people in need throughout the world. The Bicycle Team gained 9½ players including: “Godspeed”, "Spoke”, “Schwinn in Rome”, “Cross (t) Trek”, and “Super-cali-ride-a-bicycle-expi-ali-docious”. However the Beehives were playing tough and scored 10 more players including “Workers United”, “Beelzebuzz’s Beehive”, “Buzz Me Up Scotty”, “Rose Buzz”, “Bee 52”, and “War Beezle”. The score now is Beehives 24 and the Bicycles 14½.

If you haven’t entered the game yet there is still plenty of time! Envelopes with forms can be found on the pews on Sundays and always available on the information table in the Parish Office. Any donation amount is welcomed; for an $80 gift you may use all your creative powers to give your beehive or bicycle a funny or clever name.

Attention 6th—12th graders!!

JOIN AN ACOLYTE TEAM!

Acolytes are “ones who help” and are important individuals that make worship possible on Sunday mornings. From serving as a torch bearer that shines the light of Christ to being a server who helps prepare the Lord’s Table, there are many ways to be part of the team. Any 6th-12th grade youth can become an acolyte, serving roughly one Sunday a month. Contact Kelly Heindl to learn more or join an acolyte team.

RECYCLE FOR SIGHT

In just about any home, one can find a pair of eyeglasses that are no longer being used. That same pair of eyeglasses can change another person’s life. That’s why the Lions Club started the Recycle For Sight program. If you have used eyeglasses you no longer need, you can donate them now — a collection box is available underneath the information table in the Parish Office. Items accepted include prescription & reading glasses, sunglasses, plastic & metal frames — children’s glasses are especially needed.

STAY CONNECTED WITH

CHILDREN & FAMILY MINISTRY!

Children and Family Ministry (CFM) has two ways to keep our families connected with Christ Church during the week. CFM is on Instagram, @cckidspensacola, and shares what is happening on Sunday mornings & ideas for how to keep faithful conversations happening during the week. CFM also has a bite-sized weekly email with the "5 Things" our families need to know for the week – Sunday reminders, save the dates, and more. Would you like to be added? Email Victoria to be added to the list!

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS

Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Parish Office.

CARE IN COMMUNITY

Christ Church is here for you. There are many ministries to love and support the people who are the church. If you are interested in assisting with staying connected to our church family, please email Rev. Katie or call her at the Parish Office, 850-432-5115. It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
