The Briar Chapel Barracudas
Swim Team
Barracuda swim team 2022 season is on its way! Our parent team has been swimming fast to make 2022 the best summer yet! The league has solidified the meet schedule and Champs.
The Barracudas are volunteer-run by parents and led by coaches, and we cannot wait for warmer weather poolside cheering on the swimmers!
In the meantime, give us a shout out as we unveil our new Barracuda logo. Brush off your fins and get ready for those hot summer days at the pool! Go Barracudas! Should you have any questions, please reach out to our parent reps @ briarchapelswimteam@gmail.com

Be a PORCH Fresh Ambassador and sponsor a family at the Boys and Girls Club!

During these cold winter months, ALL donations of pantry-staple foods or cash are especially appreciated! For more information or to make financial donations visit us at https://porchcommunities.org/briar-chapel.

Be a PORCH Fresh Ambassador and sponsor a family at the Boys and Girls Club!

Last month, PORCH-Briar Chapel joined forces with The Produce Box for a powerful addition to our monthly drives, called PORCH Fresh. In our first month, we provided 39 families at the Boys and Girls Club in Pittsboro with a beautiful box of fresh produce, a bag of pantry goods to complement the produce, and customized recipes created by the School of Public Health at UNC.

Would you like to join us as an inaugural PORCH Fresh Ambassador and create a complete pantry bag for a family… once a year, once in a while, or once a month? Your choice. Here is how it works:

We will provide you with a PORCH Fresh reusable bag once you reach out to us and offer to be an Ambassador.
You shop at the store of your choice, and fill the bag with each of the items on our “most needed” list.
If you would like to donate other items to PORCH in addition to the Fresh pantry bag, just set them out in a separate bag – they’ll go to CORA as normal! To make it easy, we plan to provide our PORCH Fresh Ambassadors with a new pantry bag each month or as often as needed.

Contact Rebecca Dekker (beccadekker@gmail.com or 919.608.3434) with your name and address by 2/15 and we will bring you your first bag to fill with needed items!

Together we can make a big difference relieving hunger in our community.
