JANUARY 25 BOARD MEETING RECAP

The Board of Directors held their monthly Board Meeting. The following actions were taken. Note that this does not replace the official board meeting minutes.

• Approved the Dredging Committee & Strategic Planning Committee charter
• Approved several repairs, including the replacement of the swing seats and chains at several of the parks
• Board briefly discussed Rules & Regulations. They will provide their recommended changes and discuss them at the February work session and board meeting, then release them for community feedback.
• Board approved the FY 2024 Budget - notice will be sent out in the next coming days
• Approved the sanctioning of the Co-Ed softball league, Dolphins Swim Club, Aquia Evening Lions, Green Aquia, Harbour Events Club, and Scouts Troop 121.

Strategic Planning

A meeting between staff and the Gate Access Committee to review the progress of the new front gate access system and possible implementation of a physical barrier will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2026, in the business office conference room. Residents are welcome to attend to observe the meeting. Access will be via the side doors of the building.

NOTICE REGARDING TRASH SERVICE

Effective immediately, residents must submit any requests for additional recycling, trash or yard waste containers directly to GFL. There will be a charge of $5 per month for each additional container requested which GFL will bill directly to the resident. Contact GFL at 540-899-7722.

Board Work Sessions

The February and March Board of Directors work sessions have been rescheduled to February 8 and March 8 respectively. Both work sessions will take place at the Country Club and will start at 7 p.m.
