Summer Events Abound in Lincoln City

We may be prejudiced, but we think ANY day is a good day to be at Lincoln City Premier RV Resort. Located in the south end of town near the historic Taft District, we are one block from the beach and walking distance to the Pines Dine Food Cart Pod, Lincoln City Glassblowing, and multiple restaurants and brew pubs.

And, while we offer our Sunday morning Bagels & Donuts year-round, the high season between Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends brings out a bevy of additional fun activities happening at the resort.

We begin our fun on Memorial Day Sunday with bagels & donuts to get your sweet tooth taken care of first thing, but the real fun begins in the evening when we have a live band from 5:00-7:00pm at the Premier Stage. Our stage is on the West End of our upper loop and encompasses stunning views of the water. Make sure to look for whales spouting and hang around the group firepit for spectacular sunsets.

This Memorial Day we’re featuring Portland artist Chad Rupp and the Sugar Roots, always a popular act and a great deal of fun. Throughout the season we have a revolving list of great talent from the Portland area.

In addition, our live music event nights highlight our love of great food. Memorial Day will be featuring Grubs On food truck, a local favorite, offering up some delicious eats so you can enjoy the entertainment AND not have to worry about cooking or cleaning up. A win-win.

Throughout the summer each Saturday evening (Sundays on the big holiday weekends) we have live music and food; In addition to Grubs On this summer we’ll be adding Fishing Rock Eatery’s food truck to our rotation and for a couple of fun Saturdays you can enjoy house-made appetizers from the Premier staff.

Along with the weekend fun, on Wednesday afternoons we offer craft day. If the weather cooperates, we’ll have tie-dye shirt making going on at the lower firepit but in case of rain the crafts move inside the clubhouse for rock painting.

Thursday is the favorite afternoon at the park because it’s ice cream truck day! We dress up one of our golf carts with festive lights and décor, get the ice cream truck music going, and head out around the park meeting and greeting and handing out free ice cream.

We look forward to welcoming you all to the resort for another season of fun at the Oregon Coast.

ORA Public Employer of the Year Award

At Premier RV Resorts we are very fortunate to have many wonderful employees. At Premier RV Resorts in Salem a gentleman named Ken started working for us in May of 2021. He is on our mowing crew, takes care of other landscaping tasks and helps keep our sites clean with pressure washing. Ken is a valuable part of the Salem team and is approaching his three year anniversary with us. Ken nominated his boss, our Salem Manager, Tyler Fraser, for the Oregon Resource Association’s Employer of the Year Award.

The Public Employer of the Year is awarded each year to a business that employs a person, or people, with disabilities, providing them with a positive, healthy work environment and through the employment, bettering the lives of people with disabilities. Ken was hired by a previous manager, Barbara Bassett.  She hired him through Partnerships in Community Living’s job launch division. This 501C(3) company’s mission is to expand the horizons and enhance the quality of life of those we support.

The following was part of the nomination questionnaire:

Describe contributions this employer has made in impacting the lives of people with disabilities.

Premier RV Resorts continues to support people with disabilities by providing their site to be used for work assessments. They welcome people with disabilities who are interested in experiencing the roles in the landscaping field. In addition, the manager, Tyler, really invested time to build a relationship with Ken to ensure his continued success. When Ken initially joined their team, Tyler researched how to best support him and talked with special education teachers at schools so he could effectively communicate and support him when he is working. Tyler and his team use person-centered language, are polite and professional when working with Ken, making this a great experience for him. Ken is very happy with his role at Premier RV Resorts and they recognize how fortunate they are to have him as a valued team member.

We want to acknowledge both Tyler and Ken for being outstanding employees. We also appreciate Bert, Ken’s job coach, as he has been an integral part of our team as well!
