Chesed Dinner Recap

On May 19th, close to 250 people came out to support the crucial mission of JFS while honoring two extraordinary individuals, Nancy Flexer and Howard Safer


We were so fortunate to celebrate our first Chesed in 3 years in the newly renovated Pargh auditorium. Thank you to Leslie Sax and her team at JCC for all of your help in making the event a success.
Rabbi Shalom Hammer has lived in Israel now for 32 years and serves as a motivational lecturer in the IDF and an instructor for the Netiv conversion course in the IDF. He is the founder and director of Makom Meshutaf which offers non-denominational and non-coercive educational programming for Pre Military Academies throughout Israel, currently under the auspices of Mizrachi Olami/World Mizrachi. Rabbi Hammer has authored 10 books, his latest being a series for children called “Gila Spreads Joy”. He is a sought after lecturer in Israel and abroad.

Nashville's Jewish community is coming together to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community at Nashville Pride 2022. We will have a table at both days of Pride and for the first time since COVID we will be marching in the Pride Parade.
