DPS Leaders Now Enrolled in CASE Membership
As you may know, DPS recently enrolled our leaders in the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE.) Through this affiliate membership, all DPS principals, assistant principals and directors and above now have access to valuable benefits to support your career as a public education leader.

As a member, you’ll have access to CASE professional learning opportunities that are specifically geared toward your learning needs and will provide you with best practices, the latest research, and practical strategies to help you grow as a leader. Being a part of this statewide network of administrators allows you to develop relationships with colleagues in other districts, and their communications are aimed at helping you stay up to speed on the issues impacting K-12. For a complete overview of your member benefits, click here

If you haven’t already, please log in to your CASE profile to ensure your information is accurate and to update or add information as needed. The organization will use this information to communicate with you.

We hope our membership with CASE will help you continue growing as a leader to best support your team and, most importantly, our students.
Updates & FYI
Access "Your Voice/Tu Voz" Mid-year Survey Results
The mid-year “Your Voice/Tu Voz” Survey results are now available. The links below connect to the survey results for the student, family, and Team DPS dashboards. These internal-use dashboards provide school-specific insights into family engagement, students’ social and emotional mental health, and team member culture.

Looking for more survey insights? An email with your department’s specific survey data from the CollaboRATE engagement questions will be delivered to you the week of Feb. 22. Check out the updated Engagement Thrive Guide for an overview of the types of feedback you will receive. The guide also includes a template for action planning in response to the feedback.
Hot List of School Needs
When there are schools that have urgent needs for a particular day, we have been sending an afternoon "hot list" email to Central Office staff asking for volunteers to help at that school the next day. Schools on this list have immediate staff needs and without additional support, may need to temporarily move to remote learning. Please encourage members of your team to sign up to support schools if they did not receive assignments and are able to help in schools, or have received an assignment but have some additional flexibility to help.

Please also ensure that team members who are supporting in schools are entering their time correctly in True Pay. Do NOT to use the MISC code in the extra-duty pay options as this will cause the wrong accounts to be charged and the wrong pay rates to be paid.

The correct codes for True Pay are:

  • GT Sub Authorized: Those who hold a 1-3 sub-year authorization and are working as a guest teacher.

  • GT Sub Licensed: Those with a five-year substitute authorization or active teaching license.

  • Sub Para SPED: Those who don’t hold a substitute license and are working as Special Education substitute paraprofessional.

  • Sub Para ECE: Those who don’t hold a substitute license and are working as an ECE substitute paraprofessional.

  • Sub School Support: Those who are not in the classroom and are assisting with lunch duty, recess or providing coverage for other school needs. This includes supporting as a para in non-ECE and SPED rooms.
