As always, your support for our community is tax-deductible. This year, individuals, including married individuals filing separate returns, can claim a deduction of up to $300 for cash contributions made to qualifying charities during 2021. The maximum deduction is increased to $600 for married individuals filing joint returns.

Give a Christmas Donation Challenge

We are hoping to collect $40,000 in donations over the next 10 days. If we reach our goal the Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund will donate $25,000 to the Give A Christmas campaign which helps the most vulnerable in our community who have the greatest needs.

Fred Beans Meal Challenge

The Bucks County Opportunity Council and Fred Beans are partnering for the "Fred Beans 50,000 Meals Challenge.” Fred Beans will donate $50,000 through December 2021, divided among organizations that fight hunger in the communities where the company operates. The company has challenged those with the ability to give to join the effort to provide 50,000 meals by the end of the year.

You can donate here to join the "Fred Beans 50,000 Meals Challenge” and provide meals for your Bucks County neighbors in need. Help us support the growing need for hunger relief in our community.

Match Your Gift - Double Your Impact

Does your employer have a matching gift program? BCOC currently receives matching gifts from companies such as Merck, Comcast, Johnson & Johnson, Liberty Mutual and many others. Contact your employer or Joe Cuozzo at 215-345-8175 x 204 or jcuozzo@bcoc.org to find out more.

Why I Donate

"BCOC is an organization designed to meet low-income residents of Bucks County right where they are. While a great number of organizations exist to help people, BCOC is the only one I know of that addresses housing, weatherization, food distribution, emergency services, transportation, disaster relief support, tax preparation, etc.

BCOC then does them one better by taking on the root causes of poverty. It does this through its Economic Self Sufficiency Program which educates, coaches and trains participants in life skills such as planning, budgeting, etc. This unique and life altering approach is hands on and highly labor intensive and as a result requires a big investment in resources. I use the word investment because that is what it is- an investment in human potential.

For every dollar BCOC spends it saves $4.60 in government subsidies. More important than the monetary savings though, is the saving of lives both figuratively and in some cases literally.

This is why my wife and I donate to both the general BCOC funds and the Economic Self Sufficiency Foundation.

BCOC provides not only resources and opportunity but perhaps most importantly HOPE.

We give and I hope you will join us by giving as well."
