4-H Foundation IVY Award Applications Being Accepted


The Arapahoe County 4-H Foundation is now accepting applications for their IVY (Important Volunteer of the Year) award. Click on the image to the right to access the application. The application is a fillable pdf. You can type directly in the application or you can print it out and complete it by hand. Instructions on where to send your completed application are listed on the application. All applications are due to Kathy McDaniel by 3/1/23.

Arapahoe County Dates and Deadlines Document Updated


In order to keep our 4-H families and volunteers informed on 4-H dates and deadlines, the 4-H team has created a document containing an updated list of county-wide dates and deadlines for the 4-H year. This document will be continuously updated and a link will be included in the newsletters and on the Arapahoe County 4-H Member Resources webpage. Click on the image to the left to view the document.

  • Dog members, come and join us at Extravaganza on Saturday, FEB 4 10AM-1PM for Dog Quiz Bowl session. This will give you the chance to study and practice for upcoming tests at shows.
  • Dog classes with Janele and Briana Caldwell have started at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in the East Wing. If interested in the Dog project please be in contact with Janele at janele.caldwell@yahoo.com or homeenhancements@live.org or you can call her at 303-880-5538. She would be happy to provide more details on times.

  • Cake Decorating, Rocketry, Beekeeping, Shooting Sports and Cloverbud members come and join us for Extravaganza, Feb. 4th from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. for some educational and fun activities!

The first beekeeping project meeting will be February 5th at 1 p.m. at the Dodd house in Bennett. If need the address for the Dodd residence, you can call Amy directly at 303-378-7324, or click on the image to the right to send her an email. 

Shooting Sports

Are you interested in becoming a 4-H Certified Shooting Sports Leader?! The Arapahoe County 4-H Shooting Sports Project is in need of additional volunteers to help support the growing program! We are trying to offer more practices, events, and other activities but need dedicated volunteers who are willing to get involved. This is an incredible opportunity to support a rapidly growing project in the Arapahoe County 4-H Program. This includes trainings, coaching, and developing connections with other leaders from across the state! If you are interested, please email Ethan at ecahill@arapahoegov.com for more information!

4-H Creative Cooks Contest

The Creative Cooks contest is a fun contest where you can learn more about and be creative with meal planning. You select a theme, prepare food and create a table setting around your chosen theme. In this contest you use your knowledge of nutrition, meal planning, and food preparation in a creative way

The Front Range Regional 4-H Creative Cooks Contest is open to any 4-H member, between the ages of 5 and 18, who enjoy cooking. Members must be enrolled in 4-H in one of the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Larimer or Weld. Members can participate as an individual, team or club. Scholarships Available


Colorado 4-H awards scholarships annually to outstanding youth who have actively engaged in Colorado 4-H clubs for at least 3 years. The scholarship process is open through March 1, 2023. Scholarship recipients will be announced in late April/early May 2023. There are opportunities available for all kinds of students, including those attending CSU or other universities, trade schools or junior colleges, transfer students, and continuing students. We encourage our 4-H participants to apply - there is over $50,000 available in funding this year!
