The inaugural class of the L.A. Southwest College Foundation’s Ladder Leadership Development Program is launching this Fall. This program promotes broad and deep leadership skills across areas including ethics, self-awareness, team awareness and project leadership. This $4,000 program is FREE to all of LASC's registered students. Students who join the monthly trainings will develop their leadership style, learn transferable leadership skills, network with business and community leaders, and earn a leadership certificate! Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) will require all students and employees to use Multifactor Authentication (MFA) at all times to access District email and Office365 applications beginning September 30. This requirement 
includes email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Office Online. This means you will have to approve all "sign-ins" to your account using a second method after entering your password. For more, visit laccd.edu/mfa-faq.
LASC's EOPS students who are single parents receiving public assistance can access the CARE program, an acronym for Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education. The program brings additional benefits to EOPS students who are parenting, receiving CalWORKs/TANF
(Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) benefits, and are working towards getting a degree, transferring to a four-year university, or getting their credentials. Apply today or read more about LASC's CARE program.

LA-Tech.org is launching a 10-week training program in partnership with Microsoft, called the Microsoft Tech Academy. The application deadline has been extended to Sunday, August 7. Free Metro bus passes are available to LASC Students. This includes unlimited free rides on Metro bus and rail. Pick up yours from LASC's Bookstore in the Student Services Building on Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as at LASC's Business Office in the Student Services Building, Room 103, on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
