Now in its 33rd year, the Firecracker run attracts more than 1,000 participants.  Important HR Bills to Watch This Year
CalChamber employment law expert discuss three job killer bills under consideration in the California Legislature: SB 1044 (Durazo; D-Los Angeles), AB 2182 (Wicks; D-Oakland) and SB 1162 (Limón; D-Goleta).
Beach Boulevard Revitalization Takes a Big Step Forward
Anaheim has shut down a Beach Boulevard motel for public safety and health concerns and relocated those who had been living there. The motel was red-tagged for public health and safety violations including open electrical wiring, water leaks, sewage problems, lack of smoke detectors, mold, filth and squalor.

“We are working together to bring real change to Beach Boulevard,” Mayor Harry Sidhu said. “The conditions at this motel were heartbreaking and inhumane. Thankfully, this action will change people’s lives for the better in our ongoing effort to rebuild Beach as a place West Anaheim and all of our city can be proud of.”

New Townhome Community On Beach Blvd
At Beach Blvd. and Lincoln Avenue, models for the 65-townhome Nolin community opened to the public last Saturday. The new community is part of the changes coming to the long-empty corner.

Nolin’s stylish tri-level townhomes are bringing new life to Beach Blvd. with residents who’ll be invested in a better future for West Anaheim. Redevelopment is a big part of the long-term plan for Beach Blvd.
