Have you HEARD?
Impact Story: HEARD

"Last year was our first experience with Spring2ACTion and it was amazing! Our generous donors helped us offer a record-breaking 216 arts classes to people in need throughout Alexandria. We brought creative writing to the girls of Space of Her Own, the residents of Friends of Guest House wrote and performed their original spoken word poetry, the kids at Casa Chirilagua created art projects during their Fun Friday afternoons, and residents of ALIVE! House learned improvisation.

So many people benefit through Heard’s work. We support local artists who offer our classes, we bring creativity, life skills, and self-expression to people in need, and we help our nonprofit partners become more impactful."
What's in Your Toolkit? Growing Your Team

The final training session will be on Wednesday, March 23 at 9:30am and will equip participants with the tools necessary to have a successful fundraising day using networks that already exist, whether your team is big or small. We will have a panel of fellow nonprofit participants that have made the most of all that Spring2ACTion has to offer, including: ambassadors, volunteers, free-agent fundraisers, youth, and business fundraisers. The session will provide more information and tips in using each aspect to bring in new donors and maximize your impact!

Grant Funding Coming Soon
Alexandria Resilience Fund: Mental Health & Wellness Grants

ACT recognizes the emotional and physical toll the pandemic has had on the staff at nonprofit organizations (staff health, well-being, burnout) on the front lines serving Alexandrians most impacted by COVID-19. The next phase of the Alexandria Resilience Fund will provide grant funding for mental health and wellness support for nonprofit staff. ACT will host an information session on Friday, April 8 at 9:30am to discuss the grant program and offer an opportunity for an informal conversation among nonprofit leaders about what they are doing to provide mental health support and to share ideas for funding.

Grant applications will be available on April 8, 2022 and due May 6, 2022.
